In this video, we will show you how we have learned to use one simple item that you probably have in your kitchen to solve a problem.

The Ultimate Guide on Flapper Chains describes how the toilet flapper chains sometimes get hung up. When this happens, the flapper can’t make a good seal, and water will run constantly.  This is wasteful and in many places expensive. If you have a water well, it puts extra strain on your well pump. Either way, this little hack can save you a lot of money.

The Ultimate Guide on Flapper Chains tells you how to fix this annoying problem with one simple item!

When your toilet flapper chain hangs up, it is so annoying. You can hear water running, and you know it is costing you money. You yell in the bathroom, “Jiggle the handle!” This can be annoying and even embarrassing. For instance, once my daughter yelled at some house guests, “Jiggle the handle!” while they were staying at the house and using the guest bathroom. Where is that face palm emoji?

Here are the quick steps to solve this problem!

  • Carefully remove the tank lid.
  • Turn the water off at the valve under the toilet.
  • Remove the flapper and chain.
  • Cut 2 pieces of a simple drinking straw about 2 inches long.
  • Thread the chain through the drinking straw.
  • Reinstall the chain and flapper.
  • Turn the water back on.
  • Give it a test flush.
  • Replace the lid carefully.

What if the ultimate guide on flapper chains did not work?
